Below you will find announcements about service outages and other issues which may affect service.

04/10/2010	There were intermittend server outages today which affected all services. Services were fully restored at 10:41pm. Incoming email from earlier today may be delayed a bit, but will be delivered to your mailbox within the next few hours. We apologize for this outage which was due to problems in the datacenter.
10/15/2009 @ 4:09pm	The upgrades are complete! As mentioned below if you have a PHP script that has stopped working it will need to be updated to the latest version. Let us know if you require assistance with upgrading your PHP script. To contact us please post a support ticket through the control panel.
10/15/2009 (afternoon)	We will be upgrading some critical components on the server this afternoon. In specific, we will be upgrading from PHP version 4.4.9 to PHP version 5.2.11. We will also be upgrading Apache from version 1.3.41 to version 2.2.14. We do expect some downtime but it should be limited to less than 30 minutes. It is possible that some PHP scripts may stop working after the PHP upgrade. If this is the case, that means those PHP scripts are not compatible with PHP version 5 and will need to be updated to the latest version. We are willing to work with you to remedy those problems as they arise so please contact us by posting a ticket through the control panel if you have trouble.
08/02/2009 @ 11:24am	Some users have been receiving duplicate email messages recently. We think this problem is now fixed. We will be monitoring this situation.
07/14/2009 @ 6:49pm	Email service was down today for about two hours from roughly 4:45 to 6:45. We apologize for the inconvenience.
04/05/2008 @ 2:30pm	The server move is completed! Aside from a few minor issues, we haven't found any significant problems. If you are experiencing any problems with your site, please notify us by creating a support ticket through the control panel. NOTE: there are now two ways to get to the control panel: http://www.your-domain.com:2222 https://server2.mybetter.com:2222

04/05/2008 @ 11:40am	All accounts have been moved. We are testing things to identify any problems. If you find a problem with your account, please notify us by creating a support ticket through the control panel
04/05/2008 @ 10:45am	The move is nearly complete. Within an hour or less, all the accounts should be moved to the new server!
04/05/2008 @ 7:30am	The server move process has begun. Your web service will be down until we complete the move. We will post an update here as things progress.
03/31/2008	Upgrade and planned downtime on Saturday April 5th: We will be upgrading to a new and better server on Saturday April 5th. There will be some downtime during the upgrade for which we apologize in advance. Please bear with us as we improve the MyBetter web hosting experience.
02/01/2008	We now have backup mail service enabled. That means that if the main mail server should ever go down temporarily, mail will be automatically routed to a backup mail server. When the main mail server comes back online, all your mail will then be delivered to your mailboxes.
01/06/2008	SquirrelMail has been temporarily disabled due to a security vulnerability. We will be upgrading this to a secure version as soon as possible. In the meantime, please use our other webmail application.
06/05/2007	NEW AND IMPROVED MyBetter web hosting now has their name servers (ns1.mybetter.com & ns2.mybetter.com) on separate networks. This increases the reliability of the services we offer. Keep watching for other reliability improvements rolling out in the coming weeks.
03/05/2007	If you downloaded WordPress software between Feb 25th, 2007 and Mar 2nd 2007 it is possible that you are running a compromised version. See this article for more details. Let us know if you need help with this.
03/03/2007	Several updates were completed today without any complications: MySQL upgraded from v4.0.17 to version 5.0.27 PHP upgraded to v4.4.6 cURL upgraded to v7.16.1 SquirrelMail upgraded to v1.4.9a phpMyAdmin upgraded to v2.9.1 SpamAssassin upgraded to v3.1.8
06/26/2006	All services will be down on July 3rd from 6am until 10am for scheduled upgrades to the power system at the data center.
04/02/2006 @ 9:24am	The web server process was down from about 4:00am until about 9:15am today which prevented web sites from being displayed. The problem is now fixed and steps were taken to prevent this issue from happening again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
03/25/2006 @ 6:30pm	The domain name server was down from about 2:45pm until about 6:15pm today which prevented access to the websites we host. We have taken steps to prevent this issue from happening again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
12/13/2005 @ 8:37am	Things seem to be working as normal again today. Hopefully the problems have been resolved.
12/12/2005 @ 2:40pm	The server is down again now. I have spoken with the Internet Service Provider and they are having trouble with a router. They are in the process of resolving the problem. The reason for the downtime on Sunday was due to power problems in the building.
12/12/2005 @ noon	There was a lengthy downtime on Sunday 12/11/2005 and some intermittent downtimes today (12/12/2005) caused by our Internet Service Provider. We are waiting to hear from them about what the problem was but things seem to be working now. We apologize for the downtime.
